WHAT IS VANISHIO DFB?

Vanishio DFB is a free Progressive Web App (PWA) built for performing configurable list forces directly from your iPhone.

Install it to your Home Screen and use it much like a normal app, without the App Store, a developer account, or the 7-day signing limit of a free Xcode installation.

The basic idea is simple: Arm your force, enter the generated code, unlock the fake phone, and hand it to your spectator.

01 • INSTALL

1 Open the following address in Safari on your iPhone:
https://dfb.vanishio.com

2 Tap the Share button.

3 Choose Add to Home Screen.

4 If Open as Web App appears, leave it enabled.

5 Tap Add and launch Vanishio DFB from your Home Screen.

IMPORTANT
Install Vanishio DFB through Safari. Once the app has loaded successfully, it is designed to continue working offline.

02 • THE PERFORMANCE SCREEN

Opening Vanishio DFB takes you to a convincing fake iPhone passcode screen.

This is your main performance screen. It exists entirely inside Vanishio DFB and never changes or interacts with your real iPhone passcode.

Hold the lock icon for about one second to open the hidden Performance Console.

03 • ARM A FORCE

For a normal performance, most of your setup happens inside the Ready tab.

1 Open the Performance Console.
2 Select Ready.
3 Choose your force profile.
4 Enter the spectator's chosen number.
5 Vanishio DFB generates the correct secret code.
6 Tap ARM & GO.

Once armed, the setup is frozen so the generated list cannot accidentally change during your performance.

Celebrities → Forces Michael Jackson → Positions 1-100

Playing Cards → Forces the 10 of Diamonds → Positions 1-52

HOW THE CODE WORKS

With the default six-digit format, the code is built from the profile prefix, selected position, and a final camouflage digit.

510378 = Celebrities at position 37
520378 = Playing Cards at position 37

GOOD TO KNOW: You do not need to memorize this system. The Ready tab displays the exact code for you.

04 • HAND OVER THE PHONE

After tapping ARM & GO, Vanishio DFB returns to the fake passcode screen.

Enter the generated code and the fake phone unlocks to your customized Home Screen.



Now hand the phone to your spectator and have them open Notes.

Depending on your setup, Notes can open directly to the notes list or show a normal-looking Folders screen first.

They then open your force note, such as Celebrities, Playing Cards, or one of your own custom notes.



The complete list appears with your forced item naturally sitting at the spectator's chosen number.

05 • CREATE YOUR OWN FORCE

Vanishio DFB is not limited to the included forces.

1 Hold the lock icon from the fake passcode screen.
2 Open Forces.
3 Choose a template or Custom List.
4 Tap + New Force.

Make the fake Home Screen resemble your real iPhone as closely as possible. The closer the two look, the more natural the transition feels.

07 • CUSTOMIZE NOTES

Open Performance Console → Notes.

GLOBAL NOTES SETTINGS

• Automatic positioning of the chosen number

These options allow the force note to blend naturally with the rest of your fake Notes app.

08 • CHANGE THE POSITION SECRETLY

If the spectator changes their mind, there is no need to reopen the full Performance Console.

Vanishio DFB includes a hidden Quick Position control.

OPEN QUICK POSITION

•

  []Or hold the force note title while viewing the note
  

Enter the new number and tap Set.

The force list updates immediately.

Last-second changes, a spectator changing their mind, or any situation where you need to adjust the force without exposing the Performance Console.

09 • REHEARSAL MODE

Rehearsal Mode lets you practice the complete sequence without changing your currently armed live setup.

1 Open Ready.
2 Choose a force.
3 Choose a position.
4 Tap Rehearse.



When you finish rehearsing, your previously armed live performance remains intact.

TIP: Use Rehearsal Mode whenever you create a new force or want to check your setup before performing.

10 • BACKUP & DATA

Your forces and settings are stored locally on your device.

Because browser and PWA data can be cleared, you should never treat the local copy as your only backup.

RECOMMENDED
Use Export Complete Setup after creating new forces or making major changes.

Clearing Safari website data may remove locally stored PWA information, so keep your exported backup somewhere safe.

IF THE APP DOES NOT UPDATE

Safari may occasionally continue using an older cached version of the PWA.

1 Open:
https://dfb.vanishio.com

2 Refresh the page.

3 Open Performance Console → Data → Check for Update.

4 If needed, remove Vanishio DFB from your Home Screen and install it again.

Your current version can also be checked from the Data section.
