What is collected
Information needed to run Vanishio.
Different features require different information. The categories below describe the main data the site may keep or process.
Information you provide
When you create or use an account, Vanishio may store your username, account email address, hashed or otherwise protected authentication data, profile information, account settings, two-factor authentication configuration, store order information, and information you submit through site forms.
Community content
Topics, replies, reactions, reports, subscriptions, profile content, moderation records, and related timestamps are stored so the Community can operate. Community topic titles and basic topic information may be visible to visitors and search engines, while the discussion content inside topics is reserved for signed-in members.
Private messages and site contact
Private messages and messages submitted through Vanishio's site-based contact system are stored so they can be delivered, reviewed, and answered. Public contact requests may include the name and reply email address supplied by the sender. A damaged-product return request may also include photos you choose to upload as evidence of the damage. Reply email addresses and return-request images are stored privately using the site's encrypted storage protections. Contact submissions are not public Community posts. Authorized administrators may access them when needed to provide support, investigate abuse or security issues, enforce site rules, or comply with law.
Technical and security data
Vanishio and its hosting or security providers may process IP addresses, request times, browser and device information, session identifiers, login attempts, error information, and security events to operate the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and protect accounts.

Cookies and browser storage
Vanishio uses essential session cookies and similar browser storage to keep members signed in, protect forms, remember security state, and provide account features. Third-party services reached through external links operate under their own privacy practices. Stripe may use necessary technologies on its hosted payment pages to process transactions and prevent fraud.
How information is used
Information is used to run accounts and Community features, sign members in, send notifications, save settings, moderate content, answer support requests, keep the site secure, investigate abuse, process orders, and meet legal requirements.

Limited data may pass through services that help Vanishio operate.
Payments and service providers
When store checkout is available, payments are processed by Stripe. Vanishio does not need to store full payment-card numbers on its own servers. Order references, purchased items, totals, payment status, customer details needed for fulfillment, and limited transaction identifiers may be stored to provide purchases, support refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain records. Hosting, DNS, security, backup, or infrastructure providers may process limited information as needed to operate the site.
Sale of personal information
Vanishio does not intentionally sell personal information for money. Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to operate the service, process a transaction, comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or address a security incident.
Retention & choices
You have choices, with some practical limits.
Retention
Account, Community, order, moderation, security, and support records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, preserve discussion integrity, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Some records may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems.
Your choices
You can update many profile and notification settings from your account. You may use the Contact page to request help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information. Some information may need to be retained for security, moderation history, legal compliance, transactions, or the integrity of conversations involving other members.
Children
Vanishio is not directed to children under 13, and users under 13 may not create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, use the Contact page so the issue can be reviewed.

Reasonable safeguards, with no false promises.
Security
Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used, including HTTPS, secure session handling, CSRF protections, login throttling, prepared database queries, restricted upload handling, and support for two-factor authentication. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
