Checklist and request-tracker records stay in this browser unless you choose to export or share them. Sending a contact message is different: that message is stored by the website.
A quick guide to your data
| Activity | Information | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Checklist & tracker | Goals, progress and records you enter | Local storage in your browser |
| Contact & corrections | Your message, submission time and optional contact details | Website database |
| Site & referral totals | Daily aggregate counts by section, offer or public page path | Website database |
| Technical delivery | Connection details and possible access/security logs | Hosting and infrastructure services |
| Outside services | Referral and account data under their own policies | Provider or affiliate network |
The sections below explain retention, technical logs and outside providers in more detail.
Scope and contact
This policy describes Vanishio.com and its first-party guides, directories and tools. It explains the site's application-level data practices separately from the hosting, security and outside services involved in delivering a website or completing a referral.
For a question about this policy or information you submitted to Vanishio, use the contact form. Do not send identity documents, passwords, complete payment details or private account-access links.
Browsing and technical delivery
A request to a website necessarily reaches the infrastructure serving it. The hosting provider and any enabled content-delivery or security service may process IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps, browser information, referrers and security events. Technical access logs and backups are separate from the aggregate measurements described below.
Vanishio's page templates use locally served assets and do not embed third-party analytics or advertising-tracker scripts. Ordinary provider links are not the same as loading a provider's tracking script into a page.
The retention and handling of infrastructure logs depend on the services used to operate the live website. A general statement about the site's aggregate counter does not mean that its host keeps no logs.
Contact messages and correction reports
If you submit the contact form, the site stores your message, submission time, selected subject where provided, and any optional name or email you include. The administrator can use that information to understand the issue and respond if you provide a reply address.
Directory correction reports may also be stored in the site's contact-review queue. Avoid including another person's private information in either type of submission.
Contact records remain until an administrator removes them; the application does not apply a fixed automatic deletion period to the inbox. Copies may remain in routine backups until those backups expire. If you want a message reviewed or deleted, contact us with enough detail to identify it.
Checklist and request tracker
Checklist goals, displayed tasks and completed steps are saved in your browser's local storage. The removal-request tracker also saves its records in local storage on that browser and device. These tools do not sync their saved records to a Vanishio visitor account.
You can erase checklist progress, remove tracker entries, clear the tracker or clear the site's browser storage. Browser cleanup, private-browsing settings and device loss can also remove your saved information.
The tracker is not an encrypted vault. Someone with access to the same browser profile may be able to read it. Use service names and general dates, not addresses, identity documents, case numbers, passwords or sensitive notes.
Printing or exporting creates a separate copy under your control. Clearing the site's storage does not delete files you downloaded, printed or shared.
Necessary cookies and temporary preferences
The site uses a first-party session cookie for administrator access and for features such as protecting contact and directory-report forms against forged requests, showing submission feedback and limiting rapid repeat submissions. A public visitor does not need to create an account to read the guides.
The cookie is configured as a browser-session cookie; session data is managed by the server. Browser session restoration and server cleanup settings can affect its practical lifetime.
The comparison directory can store filter and selection preferences in browser session storage. That is separate from the longer-lived local storage used by the checklist and tracker. Browser controls can remove both. Blocking required storage or cookies may prevent some tools or forms from working.
Search requests
The application processes search text to return results and suggestions. It does not create a saved visitor search history or add search terms to its aggregate page-view and affiliate-click tables.
A submitted search can appear in a page URL. URLs may be kept in browser history or technical access logs, and suggestions are sent to the site's search endpoint. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into search.
Aggregate site usage
Vanishio counts page requests by broad site section using daily totals. This application table does not store individual browsing sessions, IP addresses, cookie identifiers, referrers or search terms.
These counts can include crawlers and repeat requests. They are not a count of unique people. Records older than 400 days are removed when the application's periodic cleanup runs; cleanup is triggered by site activity rather than an exact expiration timer.
This aggregate measurement is separate from the host's access logs and from information a visitor chooses to submit through a form.
Affiliate links and click measurement
Some commercial links pass through a Vanishio redirect. The application can record a daily click total for an offer, and a total associated with the normalized public page path where a click began. Those measurement tables do not store a visitor identifier, IP address, browser details, referrer or search query.
Other commercial buttons may link directly to the provider and do not use that first-party counter. Aggregate affiliate-click records older than 400 days are removed when periodic cleanup runs. Counts can include automated clicks and do not establish purchases or commissions.
The destination provider or affiliate network receives the referral and may process identifiers, cookies and connection information under its own policies. Review those policies before signing up. See the affiliate disclosure.
Administration, security and service providers
Administration uses account information, password hashes, login sessions, security records and an audit trail of administrative actions. Login-rate controls use keyed hashes derived from sign-in information and the connecting IP address. Login-attempt records older than 14 days are pruned during later sign-in processing.
Hosting, database, backup, network and security providers may process information needed to deliver and protect the website. Information may also need to be preserved or disclosed when required by applicable law. No website or transmission method can promise absolute security.
Search-engine notifications
When public content is published, updated or removed, Vanishio may send the public page URL to IndexNow to notify participating search engines. These notifications contain public URLs, rather than visitor browsing records or submitted contact messages.
Participating search engines can handle and share those URL notifications under their own policies. A notification is a discovery aid, not a guarantee that a page will be indexed.
Your choices and questions
You can browse without creating a public account, choose not to submit optional contact details, clear browser-saved tool data, and review a provider's policy before leaving the site. Clearing browser data does not remove a message already submitted to the website.
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning information held about you. Use the contact page to ask about access, correction, deletion or another privacy concern. We may need limited information to locate a record or verify a request; do not send sensitive verification documents unsolicited.
This policy can change as the site and its services change. The update date identifies this version; check the current page when deciding what to submit or which tools to use.
